Bordon Cricket Club — Replacement External Staircases

Two timber staircases that had deteriorated within ten years were replaced with purpose-made steel staircases, providing a more durable long-term solution for the club.

The new stairs replicated the existing arrangement as closely as possible while using steel sections and compliant guarding. They were fixed back to the existing concrete structure without requiring new foundations.

Due to the capacity of the powder-coating oven, each staircase was manufactured in sections, finished in a standard white RAL colour and assembled on site.

The staircases were replaced one at a time to keep the club operational. Installation was completed within tightly controlled Monday-to-Friday working periods during the cricket season, ensuring the programme was met without affecting weekend fixtures.

Scope: Site survey, detailing, fabrication, powder coating, delivery, on-site assembly and installation.
